The T-zone will be transformed into a Non-Schengen zone from 8:00 to 12:00 every day (excluding irregularities) for this purpose, and once all our A-330 aircraft have departed to Africa, it will be transformed into a Schengen zone again. There are 6 T-gates in the T-zone. Transfer pax coming from non-Shengen countries Passengers arriving from a Non-Schengen country (e.g : U.K, Switzerland) and transfering to Africa arrive in Pier B, and will be invited to direct themselves to a transfer centre (IRDL) where they will be bussed directly to the T-zone. Transfer pax coming from Shengen countries Passengers arriving from a Schengen country (e.g : Italy) arrive in Pier A, so they will simply have to walk to the T-zone, which will be in the same terminal. There is no change to the passenger flows regarding arrivals from Africa, as they will continue to arrive at Pier B as before. T-zone passengers departing to Africa will be able to enjoy extra customer features such as a relax area with confortable seating, water and newspaper sevice, a kids corner and internet access. The Older Traveler
This is a wonderful time in your life to be travelling. In most cultures, age brings respect. Children will gravitate to you. Local women will be protective, and you~ll suffer less from unsolicited male advances.Check your library for the many travel books written especially for the older adult. They contain valuable information about obtaining discounts, avoiding single supplements, educational holidays and the many group travel opportunities available for those of mature age.Planning an adventure holiday involving hiking or a lot of walking? If you~re not already involved in fitness activities, consider beginning an appropriate exercise program at least a month before your departure.Expecting to carry a backpack? You might want to do a few training walks to get used to it. You can start light and work your way up to carrying the full capacity. If you~re experiencing the hot flashes of menopause, pack a wardrobe of ~layers~ that can easily be adjusted to your fluctuating body temperature.A small magnifying glass is perfect for reading the tiny print on maps.Make very sure that you have adequate health and travel insurance.

Flying While Pregnant
If you plan to take a plane trip while pregnant, discuss it with your doctor first. Barring any problems or complications, your doctor will probably let you go - except in the very early stages (when miscarriages are more likely to occur) or in the later stages (when you may be more likely to go into labor). Most airlines have regulations regarding how late into a pregnancy you may travel. Check before you fly to avoid disappointment. It is probably not a good idea to travel anywhere that requires prior immunization. Avoiding the introduction or ingestion of foreign substances during pregnancy (including alcohol and nicotine) is the safest route to a healthy baby.
A guide to security belts and pouches
You might end up carrying a lot of important documents, as well as money. Unless everything gets stolen, this way you~ll have some extra money and papers that will make it easier to replace what was stolen, not to mention that some extra money can make it possible for you to continue your travels while waiting for new travelers cheques or documents. When making purchases, be modest. Don~t flash large amounts of cash. The wallet of a westerner can tempt people in poor countries to commit murder! Please remember this! About half the size of the waist type. It hangs inside your pants from your belt or belt loop. It is made out of nylon, cotton or leather, has one or two zippered compartments. It is very easy to whip out when needed and does not draw a lot of attention if you have to get to it to pay for a meal. Most of these times are small, just large enough to hold your passport, money, and a very small pack of airline tickets. I would recommend you purchase one of these devices that match the general color of the belt you will be wearing most of the time. If you are wearing white shorts and a white belt, the black belt loop of the money wallet would stand out like a sore thumb. Usually the wallet is available in black or tan.

Lost, Delayed and Damaged Luggage
Interesting statistics about luggage problems with he airlines, last year air travel increased about 5% amongst air travelers but complaints about baggage doubled. Roughly the airline industry mishandled about 6 out of every 1000 bags. That~s not too bad, unless the bag that is lost belongs to you. the airlines have a higher stake now more than ever to insure your luggage gets to you. The manner in which airlines move and track luggage has stayed the same for the last ten or so years. Except for a few airports that have placed electronic scanners throughout the baggage process, most airlines have not way to tell where your luggage is.Maybe someday the airlines will be able to track luggage like the way FedEx and UPS track packages.Call them up and they can tell you exactly where you package is.What is on the horizon for the tracking of luggage is a new sophisticated system that would tag bags with a radio transmitter that would allow the tracing of bags just like FedEx.But until this technology is made available or other improvements are made in the luggage system, travelers must understand the process in which a bag is handled so they can take the necessary precautions to insure their bags safe arrival.
